Assouline - Biarritz Basque

I was commissioned to contribute to Assouline’s luxury travel book Biarritz Basque, with six full-page photographsshowcasing the atmosphere, landscapes and lifestyle of France’s iconic Basque coastline.

Published by one of the world’s leading luxury publishing houses, the book celebrates the culture, architecture, surfing heritage and timeless elegance that define Biarritz and the surrounding Basque Country. My photography was selected to illustrate key moments of the destination, becoming part of a carefully curated visual narrative dedicated to one of Europe’s most distinctive coastal regions.

Working on an editorial publication of this calibre required creating imagery that combines artistic vision with documentary authenticity. Every photograph was produced to complement the editorial direction while preserving the emotion, natural light and sense of place that characterise the region.

Being featured across six full-page images reflects both the visual quality and storytelling approach behind my work. The publication reaches an international audience of travellers, collectors, design enthusiasts and hospitality professionals, reinforcing the importance of photography in luxury editorial publishing.
